Turkish Bath

An age-old ritual

Water is again the prime mover for another aid to well-being of which Teuco can be justly proud: the Turkish bath.  Here, the inexhaustible life-giving power of water is harnessed in another form, namely steam.  The benefits were known long ago, to people like the Romans for example, who even gave bathing a public, "social" dimension, with their famous Termae.  Today, any individual sitting in the shower cabin of a private bathroom can enjoy the very same advantages, improved and more effective than ever.

Optimum features

The Turkish bath or steam bath, involves enveloping the body in vapour that is both hot (between 40 and 50 degrees Centigrade) and humid (relative humidity 100%).  For a steam sauna to be effective, the temperature must be distributed uniformly inside the cabin.  Only in this way call all parts of the body derive the same beneficial effects.

Liberating effects

The combined action of steam and heat stimulates the blood and lymph circulation.  The heavy perspiration induced allows the body to free itself of toxins and undesirable metabolic residues.  In addition, prolonged exposure to moist heat frees the airways and is undoubtedly a great help in curing classic disorders of the respiratory system.  A Turkish bath also benefits the skin, expelling impurities and removing dead cells to leave it smooth, relaxed and glowing.
